Our store is hosted on Wix. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you.

Online store terms

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are over 18 years of age and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services

User Registration:

If you register an account with us, there you will be able to access your purchase history and view your delivery tracking number. We know you’ll do this However we need to highlight that it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential and East Anglian Soap Company cannot be held responsible if your account is hacked. Whilst having an account does speed up the checkout experience it is not essential and purchases can be made without one.

Purchases & Payments:
When buying an item, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process.
The prices we charge for using our services / for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. We are unable to change an order once it has been received or combine shipping on separately placed orders. We reserve the right to cancel any order (and process a refund in full) without prior notice.

Once payment has been made, your order will be processed. All payments shall be in GBP. Items will not be dispatched until full payment has been received.

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

Product Descriptions:
​
Pure essential oils, herbs, and other natural ingredients have been used for many centuries. We try to provide information about our products and research the benefits of herbs and essential oils for the skin, from many sources, however the information we provide is just a guideline and not intended to be taken as medical advice or a cure for any illness or skin problem. We make no claims that our products will treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Our Products:
All our products are handcrafted, hand-cut, hand-labelled & packed by us, therefore, size, shape and design may vary from product to product. ​We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. However we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate. All our products are subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee that items will be in stock. We manage our stock levels online, however, in the unlikely event your order is out of stock we will contact you to make you aware. You will either have the choice to wait for the new batch, make another choice or accept a refund.
We reserve the right to discontinue any products at any time for any reason. Prices for all products are subject to change.

UK & EU Cosmetic Regulations:
​
We can confirm that all products sold by East Anglian Soap Co are fully compliant with UK & EU cosmetic regulations and all have cosmetic product safety reports. We currently only have a Responsible Person in the UK therefore we cannot provide any cosmetic products outside of the United Kingdom. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Guild:
​
We are a proud member of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers.
​
To Become a member of this guild you need to show proof that you have had all the relevant Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR's) conducted on your products. All of the products need to be approved for sale by a chartered chemist in line with the Cosmetics Regulations in the UK/EU.

It is illegal to sell any type of cosmetic product without having them assessed and holding valid CSPR's this includes Soap! These laws are put in place to keep the consumer (you) safe and we whole heartedly agree that your safety and well being is of the upmost importance.
all of our formulations have been assessed and certified by a chartered chemist. We hold valid CSPR’s (cosmetic safety product reports) for all of our products to ensure that our customers are getting a fully approved, safe and tested cosmetic.

Packages:
​
We searched for hours and hours looking at packaging and for plastic alternatives as we believe that single use plastic is a huge problem across the globe. The difficulty came when we decided that we wanted you to be able to see our beautiful products but also to protect them as much as possible from their environment (for example dust) that is when we came across a compostible film made from tree pulp. This is what we decided to use to wrap our soaps. It is a lot more time consuming than using shrink wrap however being made of tree pulp this wrapping can be placed in you home compost or commercially composted and what it breaks down into feeds the soil rather than pollute it. Our Labels are made from recycled card/paper or again tree pulp.

Outer Packaging
We use only cardboard boxes, paper fillings, cornstarch pellets and paper tapes/stickers that are made of recycled materials and are biodegradable and compostable.

If however you receive a package containing bubble wrap or something similar this will be packaging that I have recycled to reuse rather than sending to landfill. We do not buy and use plastic outer packaging for our products.
We would like to do our bit to help the environment by helping to eliminate one plastic product at a time.
Shipping:
​
We use Royal Mail as much as possible to ship orders as we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint. Post is being delivered to all main land UK households continuously Monday to Saturday therefore no extra emissions are needed to deliver your precious parcel.
Standard Delivery from £3.95 (dispatched within 3-5 working days)
Express Delivery from £6.95 (dispatched within 1-2 working days)
Orders over £45 Standard shipping within the UK is FREE

If you have ordered over the weekend or on a bank holiday, then we will dispatch your order on next working day (Monday-Friday).
Please add your telephone number onto your order so that you can receive tracking information for your parcel.

Please allow 3-5 working days to process your Standard delivery order and 1-2 working days for your Express delivery.
During busy periods such as Mother's day, Easter & Christmas this processing time will increase to 5-10 working days.
We will however do our upmost to ship your orders as soon as possible.
If in the unfortunate event of severe weather or circumstances such as delivery strikes we will not accept liability for the delays of packages.

Returns:
We love our soaps and we hope you will too. We check, inspect and hand pack all items ourselves before shipping to make sure they’re perfect. If for any reason you are unhappy then please let us know by emailing us at hello@eastangliansoap.co.uk and we will be very happy to assist you.
Free shipping is only included with a discount. As such, if items are returned that take your order value under the ‘Free when you spend’ amount, the shipping discount will be claimed back.
All customers have the right to cancel their website order however this needs to be done before the item is packaged and dispatched. Customers may return the item/s within 14 days and receive a full refund of the cost of those, provided they remain in merchantable condition and are in original packaging. Please contact us first to arrange a return. The cost of returning any goods under the above circumstances will be paid by the customer unless the goods were sent in error.

Damaged Packages:
​
If you’ve received your parcel and it is damaged, you will need to contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We handle damage claims on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at hello@eastangliansoap.co.uk if you have any issues.

Lost or stolen packages
​
Please allow 14 days from the date of your shipping confirmation for your parcel to arrive. If you believe your order has been lost, then please email hello@eastangliansoap.co.uk and we will investigate what’s gone wrong.
We are not responsible for packages that are delivered to the wrong address due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer.

Promotional Policy:
​
From time to time we will offer customers promotions, these will include discounts, coupons, soap bundles and free delivery over a certain amount. All promotions are limited to one use per basket. East Anglian Soap Company is a small family-run business and we put everything into producing high-quality products. We make sure that our products are all made, packaged and handled with care to maintain our high-quality. Our customers are able to leave reviews and their feedback on our website. We are always grateful to hear how much you are enjoying your purchase(s) and are confident you will be very satisfied with the service and products we provide. However, if you feel we have not performed to our usual five star standards, we would always ask that you allow us the opportunity to rectify any issues you may have in order to maintain our high levels of customer service.
If we feel that a negative review is unfounded, untrue or just malicious, we reserve the right to remove it.
We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.
You agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right.
